In the past years, my children have been involved in all of your programs including Preschool, Kidcare and various summer programs. My child's teachers "provide an atmosphere that is the perfect balance of warmth, energy and professionalism. Last year, when our son Nate was five, my husband and I had to make a decision regarding where to send Nate for Kindergarten. We decided to send him to CAST, but were a little nervous; would he learn enough at CAST? Would he be able to head right into 1st grade from CAST, as we planned for him to do?

We shouldn't have worried at all. CAST provided a really fabulous and educational Kindergarten experience for Nate. His teacher, Miss Avril, was just wonderful, one of his all-time favorite people; he made great progress in writing his letters and in 'sight words' under her guidance, as well as problem solving, creativity, and critical thinking. She was able to help him better address some of his own particular issues with fine motor coordination. Though we weren't entirely sure right up until his first weeks in first grade how well he'd been prepared comparatively speaking, it turns out he is actually ahead verbally compared to some of his friends who had done half-day MES kindergarten. In addition, many of his current classmates are friends he's known for years through CAST, so there wasn't even the shock of an entirely new social environment. Indeed, the only way in which he was unprepared for first grade was that it was a bit of a luch for him to go from a very small class at CAST to his current 20 or so...but even there, his adjustment was quickly made.

In short, we heartily recommend CAST for Kindergarten. But please, if you have any particular concerns or questions, don't hesitate to email me; I'm always happy to talk about CAST and the many great years our son had there.

Thank you for an amazing year. In what was an incredibly challenging year for my husband and I, it was such a blessing to have CAST for the kids. Having adults like you, that wanted to not only teach but also love my children has meant a great deal to me. And you may not know this, but not only did Luca learn a lot from you, but so did I. Among many things, I learned how to better parent my children, have fun making messes and how to "go with the flow" as Luca and I now say to each other.
